Thanks, Jes (and Dan)!

Thanks for the blog, ya'll! Let me address, in my first post, the problems I'm experiencing with the SPS's CSUN website. I've been trying to figure out exactly why I can view the updated webpage on the computer in my office, but I can't view the updated webpage--only an older version--on my laptop at PsychoBabble. I hope the blog remedies some of these difficulties. Spread the word!

Tim. 1. So far, I set this all up without Dan's help. That being said, I didn't do anything impressive. When it gets good, you can thank Dan and leave me out of it. and 2. I have no idea why the updates aren't loading. Perhaps Voodo Magic or witch-craft. I think witch-craft works best on computers.

Well, if it's any consolation, Dr. Black, the entire Philosophy Department website is a bit out of date. The Colloquia page there hasn't been updated since last September. It's so unfortunate as I've been watching Fullerton's Phil Department Website (and a few other school's phil dept websites) and they're wonderful, updated, informational, and INVITING. Some of the Phil Clubs even have Yahoo Lists, which are really convenient and informational. This Blog is cool... though still new and I wonder how many students on campus even know about the Phil Club, er, sorry-Society (I'm from the old school of before the SPS was official), let alone a blog.

Anyways--I'd be interested to know what the CSUN computer people running the website space (or whomever) would have to say about why the website is so difficult to update.

best,
mel mel
